THE MARINADE: "The Best Meat on the Planet"
* 1 - Large piece of London Broil or Equivalent pieces of Tri-Tip steak or Prime Rib (whole).

* Light sprinkles of the "Secret Seasoning" made by Country Catering Co. ONLY FOUND in Goleta, California.(See address and phone number on container-write down and save or call me if you loose it.) I send people down there regularly to replace mine, or I call and have them ship a half dozen to me at a time. This is the most important ingredient other than the meat!

* 1 pkg. Schillings Meat Marinade.

* ¼ Cup Virgin Olive Oil

* ½ Cup White Wine of your choice -Chardonnay, etc.

* 2 tbs. Liquid Smoke (important).

Wash off meat with water, pat dry. Sprinkle "Secret Seasonings" lightly over all sides of meat. Pat into meat. (If tough types of meat, pierce with fork, if tender meat, don't). Chicken or pork can be used as well.

Mix all other ingredients together in marinating container. When mixed and evenly distributed, place seasoned meat into container with liquid mix. Cover and shake. Place in refrigerator and let sit for 3 or 4 hours. Turn or shake once every hour or ½ hour until ready to cook.

Get coals ready to Barb-B-Que or turn on propane burner. Place marinated meat onto burner and cook slowly, turning once-in-while and basting with liquid periodically until done to taste.(I like to make mine medium rare to medium well, depending on the individual meat. When done take off the burner and slice for the most scrumptious meet on the earth. If desired, serve with A-1 Steak Sauce.

Your marriage is much like this recipe in that it has some very key ingredients and preparation that is required to make your relationship and marriage successful.

You obviously start with your two individual and unique lives, given by God and prepared by your parents. That is the meat or basis for the recipe. Without you both there would be No services of marriage today.

The second and next ingredient of importance is the "Secret Seasoning." This is the Lord Jesus Christ and The Indwelling Holy Spirit. Jesus came from afar, from the Presence of God the Father in Heaven, to earth, so that we could have Eternal Life in Him. As we continue to call on the Holy Spirit regularly and order more of His strength, and comfort, He tenderizes us and makes us more tender to the workings of God in our lives so that we are a succulent source of nourishment to the world around us. God's "Secret Seasoning" is like no other, and NO substitute is acceptable. Although we might know some of the ingredients in the mix, we don't know the correct combinations or how the ingredients are unique when used with each one of us individually, only God Himself knows that.

The other ingredients are all important as well. Each adds its own special taste or purpose. The oil helps keep it from burning or sticking while cooking. The wine adds a unique and poignant flavor and helps saturate the seasonings and flavors into the meat.

The liquid smoke serves to bring the taste of Hickory into the cooking process without having hickory wood available, or present, to cook with. Your Christian marriage is an example to the world of how God's presence brings a wonderful aroma and unique savor to an otherwise impossible institution in this cold and uncommitted world.

The next and most important part of marinating the meat is: TIME. Take time to be with each other, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and playfully. Spend time together in the aroma of God's presence and in prayer together. Share with each other what is going on in your thoughts, your feelings, and your emotions. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable with each other about your weakness' as well as your strengths. Allow the fragrant essence of the Holy Spirit to permeate your lives and your relationship with the Eternal Character of Jesus Christ, that your marriage might be a source of strength and nourishment to those in need around you.

And finally, call on me to pray for you and to love you. I know that you have many wonderful friends and family members to do that, but never forget that I am also here if you need me, even if it's to get the recipe again.

God Bless you both as you start your lives together!!
