Feeling Like a Stock Broker, & Worse!

I cannot believe the events of these last few weeks!  From seeing the all-time interest rate lows in close to 30 years on a Thursday, and Friday, the following Monday and again on Tuesday, (starting to bring in a ton of  new loans), to having to explain to my clients in a matter of hours that the same rate was no longer available or even around anymore by the next day. Each day on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, we saw the worst rate increases I ever remember seeing in a one day period, let alone all three days in a row! This is where clients get the impression that we are pulling a bate and switch, even though we have no control over the events of the day or the rates!

It was all over by Oct.8th. The day everything changed and went up and never came back.  Over there years there have been those types of days out there, but for some reason this seemed to happen faster and more severally.  I guess it's just that I have gotten "online" it was seemed to take awhile to happen before, is now immediate and "in my face" now more than ever.  Whatever it is, it just feels like I'm more of a stock broker than the old days of being a loan officer.  It's hard to believe that when I first got into this business rates would change with our company usually only once a month.

Things, they are a changing!!
