Uniquely Scrumptious Walnut & Lettuce Salad.  
Ingredients: 
Walnut Oil Dressing  

1/2 Cup Walnut Oil  
1/4 Cup Cider Vinegar  
2 Tbs. minced Shallots  
2 Tbs. Lemon Juice  
1 Tbs. Mapel Syrup (I usually put a bit more)  
1/4 Teas. both Salt & Pepper  

Combine all ingredients in covered container and store in refigerator until ready to serve.  
 

Carmelized Walnuts  

2 Tbs. Butter  
1 large package chopped Walnuts - use according to your desire - I like using them all.  
A little brown sugar - enough to coat  
A little mapel syrup - enough to coat  

Heat over low to medium heat on the stove top, in a sauce pan. Stir to coat. Spread the coated nuts onto tin foil on a cookie 
sheet and let sit over night. Put aside or store in covered container until using for the salad. 

Final Steps: 
Place desired amount of salad greens, various lettuces and other types of spring greens in a bowl.  
Add one plastic container of crumbled Gorgonzola cheese  
Add the carmelized walnuts  
Add a large handful of dried Cranberries (Cran-raisins)  
Cut up 2 to 3 firm, ripe pears and put into salad  
Mix all ingredients and then add and mix with the Walnut Dressing just before serving.  
You will definitely get rave reviews on this. 
It's a dinner in itself or serve with the Mexican Crepes for the best "company" dinner around!!!
